Turnover is counted, not losses: every stake reduces the remaining requirement whether it wins or not. That is why a high-RTP slot clears a bonus more cheaply, and why the return printed in each game's rules is worth a glance before you start.
The bet cap is where bonuses are lost
While a bonus is being wagered, a cap on the stake per spin almost always applies. Breaking it does not merely fail to count — it voids the bonus together with everything already wagered.
The catch is how easily it breaks by accident: the cost of a spin is the line bet multiplied by the number of lines, so raising the line bet slightly can push a spin over the limit. Recalculate the spin cost whenever the stake changes, and especially before enabling autoplay.
Withdrawals: what sets the pace
